'MagHansen can' says BAM

MagHansen Health & Safety Performance recognised by BAM Construction

MagHansen are to receive a Health and Safety Performance Award from BAM Construction Ltd - London at their 5th Annual Health and Safety Performance Award Ceremony in March.

The award is in recognition of MagHansens Safety Performance on the Queens Street Project last year for HBG Construction (now BAM).

During the 6 month installation, MagHansen won back to back monthly safety awards and were consistently placed in the top three subcontractors for the majority of the project.

The award is testament to the dedication of site manager John Flanagan and his team to ensure that Health and Safety standards were upheld to a high standard throughout the project.

MagHansens Managing Director Colin Meads commented: - Health & Safety is a key issue in UK Construction and it is extremely rewarding that a Major Contractor like BAM recognise the efforts of MagHansen and more specifically our Site Team who should feel proud of their achievement.

This was MagHansens first project for HBG(BAM) and as a result of a good overall performance on the scheme MagHansen have secured a 4.5m order from BAM Construction on the Great Ormond Street Hospital Project later this year.

The event will be held on 5th of March 2009 at Glaziers Hall, London and will be attended by The Health and Safety Executive who will deliver a key note speech on up coming H&S priorities.
